If you are looking for a reason to attend this year’s November Conference & Expo, read this letter from Missouri REALTORS® CEO, John Sebree.
Hello Missouri Realtors!
I just received a link to this fun video that features Missouri Realtors Past President Sharon Keating and others talking about the excitement of attending NAR’s 2017 REALTORS® Conference & Expo. Take two minutes to watch “8 Seconds,” a video promoting the Conference that will be held in Chicago in November.
And remember, Missouri’s own Elizabeth Mendenhall will be installed as 2018 President of the National Association of Realtors at the November Conference & Expo. Register for the Conference and the Installation Banquet using this link: REGISTER
As you may have seen here on The Landing, there is an effort to organize transportation to Chicago in November via Amtrak. 50 people will need to sign up take Amtrak. I encourage you to become a member of the 2017 NAR Conference & Expo community on The Landing so you can monitor the conversation. By joining this community you are not committing to taking the Amtrak.
In addition to the transportation discussion, we’ll continue to post updates on the Conference & Expo in that community.
Have a GREAT week!

It’s time once again for our Capitol Conference and January Business Conference!
Here are the schedules for January Business Conference and Capitol Conference.
If this is your first time attending either of these conferences, you will benefit by going to the orientations on Wednesday at 10:30am and 11am. We’ll have lunch together, hear a legislative update, then go to the capitol together. We have arranged for GSBOR and SWMOBOR members to meet with our local Representatives and Senators as a group. The final room locations will be provided at lunch. That evening, the legislative reception is open to all attendees from 4:30-6:30pm. Legislators are invited, and the food is great! After dinner you have a free evening.
Thursday is basically committee day, with lunch/learn and education/training opportunities as well as a 1pm candidate forum for the Friday morning elections at the Board of Directors (BOD) meeting. GSBOR has our very own Jeff Kester running for Missouri REALTORS® Treasurer and Miles Noennig running for NAR Director! There’s a 6p-10p RPAC Celebration that evening offsite.
Friday is the district briefing and the BOD meeting where voting takes place for leadership positions. Please register upon entry to the BOD meeting. Non-Directors should sit in the guest section near the back of the room, and directors should be seated at the tables in the front section, in the area near the “Southern” district signs. BOD usually ends promptly at noon.
Please consider joining us this year. It’s going to be a great time. Click on the link above, get registered, and plan to join us in Jefferson City!
